Artist Statement (Printmaking)

I Created an intaglio print, using Plexi glass and a printing machine. I did this project because I was instructed to and i decided on my design because I thought it would look elegant. While creating my art I was concerned about what the final product would look like.

I was trying to convey a mellow vibe by drawing a symbol commonly associated with chilling. I call this piece "Original" because its an Adidas Original logo. I faced many obstacles such as accidentally messing up on a line or perhaps a bad cross-hatching job.

This project has been one of my very favorites thus far. I'm very excited to do this type of thing on my own using different designs. This project has taught me tons of new gained knowledge and I am proud of the outcome.
